One of the main outputs of EUFORE is the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for the forest-based sector, developed through an inclusive, multistakeholder co-creation process. This SRIA provides a strategic compass for national and European research agendas. In particular, it will inform and be further developed by the forthcoming European Research and Innovation Partnership on Forests and Forestry for a Sustainable Future.

The SRIA outlines priority areas where scientific excellence and innovation can support evidence-based policymaking, enhance cross-sectoral collaboration, and enable Europe’s forest-based sector to deliver longterm ecological, economic, and social value.

The first part of the SRIA presents a new vision for European forest research and innovation, along with EUFORE’s co-creative approach to developing the SRIA. The second part outlines the four interconnected, cross-cutting research themes. The annex describes the methodology used by the EUFORE project for developing the SRIA.
